The firm was founded in Terrassa in 1952 by Mr Joaquim Badia Tobella, who was a legal advisor at the Caixa de Pensions (“La Caixa”), president of the Terrassa Consumer Arbitration Board, president of the Hospital Consortium in the same city, and a magistrate at the Civil and Penal Tribunal of the Higher Court of Justice in Catalonia, amongst other positions. He has received various distinctions, including his designation as Member of Honour of the Terrassa Lawyers’ Association, the Francesc Macià Medal from the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Silver Medal from the City of Terrassa.

The firm has traditionally focused its activities on the areas of civil and commercial law, although nowadays its professionals include experts in intellectual property rights, international and European law, and administrative law.

Ever since its foundation, the firm has distinguished itself for its altruistic collaboration in various cultural and civic projects.
