Badia)advocats participates in the H2020 program to make the community exchange of medical data possible

Badia)advocats collaborates in the development of a community network within the framework of the Horizon 2020 program that allows the exchange of health information between Member States in the event of health emergencies.

With this project, Badia)advocats is committed to European integration through scientific innovation

In order to achieve greater European integration, the EU, through its investment in science, has placed emphasis on electronic health (eHealth). Among the most ambitious projects we can highlight the creation of a framework that wants to connect the member states to extend the health coverage of EU citizens to all the Member States. The first step in the project is to allow these exchanges to take place in emergency situations.

Badia)advocats has acted as Spanish advisor in this first phase providing a holistic picture that includes, among others, the advances made in electronic health records in Spain through the National Health System, an image of the technical tools present in Catalonia (mainly the HC3, also known as the Shared History of Catalonia), a legal evaluation on data protection that includes the new requirements of the application of the General Data Protection Regulation and the necessary cyber security requirements.

The project is led by the prestigious Timelex Law firm (Belgium), which has funding from the Horizon 2020 programme. During the procedure, Badia)advocats has collaborated with hospitals and various sources from the Department of Health. With this project, Badia)advocats is committed to European integration through scientific innovation.
